Howard W. Steffan, PA Licensed Professional Engineer

Mr. Steffen has over 43 years experience inspecting, repairing, designing, fabricating, erecting, and dismantling steel structures. His work experience includes bridges, buildings, towers, conveyors, blast furnaces, industrial mill buildings and coke plants. Mr. Steffen serves as a consultant to AET’s Senior Management Staff regarding health, safety and engineering issues related to client demolition projects. His comprehensive services include development of engineering estimates, work plans, project coordination and quality control.
Education includes:  B.S. Civil Engineering from University of Tennessee.
Professional Certifications include:  PA Licensed Professional Engineer (#19502-F)

Lou Pergola, Vice President 

Mr. Pergola has over 19 years experience within the Environmental Consulting Industry. Areas of expertise include Asbestos, lead, Underground Storage Tanks, PCB's, Indoor Air Quality, Mold/Water Damage Inspections/Testing, Risk Assessments including Brownfield Redevelopment.

Carl Josephson, Laboratory Manager

Mr. Josephson has over 23 years experience managing AET's laboratory operations.  Areas of expertise include PLM and PCM analysis of asbestos, quality control and laboratory records retention.  Mr. Josephson is continually developing laboratory procedures to enhance sample analysis. 
Education includes:  B.S. - Geochemistry - West Chester University
Professional Certifications include: Microscopical Identification of Asbestos, Kevex Microanalysis, NIOSH 582 Certification and OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations Training.

Kelly Eckhart, Laboratory Supervisor

Ms. Eckhart has over 7 years experience supervising AET's laboratory operations.  Areas of expertise
include PLM and PCM analysis of asbestos and identification and analysis of microbial material. 
In addition Ms. Eckhart implements and maintains laboratory quality control programs.
Education includes:
